No. of Copies 1
MADRID
We beg that this copy be kept by your brother Rafael Farriols Calvo.
Sir:
We wish to convey to you and your brothers our respectful greetings. You and your brothers in Spain have not received news from us for a long time, and we would not like you to attribute this to a disparaging attitude, forgetfulness or lack of time on our part to devote our attention to you; we simply wish to dose our information, as we have warned you on previous occasions, for it is our wish, also reiterated in other letters, to go as unnoticed as possible. We regulate our information according to the impact it may cause on the social network. Now we have been forgotten in Spain after a phase in which the most pernicious rumours -for you- circulated in the circles keen on the study of UFOs, as you call them, so we see no objection to resuming contact, provided it is through an entity officially recognised by the Spanish State. But if the reports continue to be circulated in outside circles, provoking reactions of scandal, we shall feel obliged, for your good (such a reaction does not harm us), to stop them. Our sudden reactions of silence may therefore astonish you, for we perfectly detect such reactions in your brothers. We are resuming some of the incomplete reports, but we tell you that we will go on sending them to you in a systematic and heterogeneous way: we wish to congratulate you, sir, on your work of analysing the documents, which are now historic in our relations with the Iberian country; those pages correspond to reports of a very elementary nature sent to a non-specialised group with a didactic and primitivist aim, but indispensable in that experimental stage, which was very valuable for us. Now I wish you to pass on my singular messages to these humans.
IGNACIO DARNAUDE ROJAS: News has reached us of your investigation into my brothers' stay in Albacete (Spain) in past years. We respectfully congratulate you on your methodical analysis, whether or not you believe in our existence, and we wish to send you our respectful greetings; we fervently wish that you would not misinterpret the unfortunate events related to that kind lady who gave lodging to my brothers; if we chose that mansion it was simply because of the aura of mystery that surrounded Doña Margarita; it served my brothers as camouflage for their activities and study; the rumours about her mental disturbances, unfortunately real, took the force out of any possible official investigation that might have been carried out into us in other circumstances, since the leaking of strange news about our presence was muffled by the scepticism of the most worthy Spanish authorities; I can assure you, Mr Darnaude, that in those days my brothers did nothing that violated Spanish law, for we are usually respectful, except in self-defence, of the social structures that receive us.
REVEREND LÓPEZ GUERRERO
Sir:
We wish to greet you cordially and fraternally, if the latter were possible through identity of genetic characteristics.
We will write to you personally if it is feasible for us; we know the great sympathy you feel for us, sir; it comforts us and we extend our arm to your chest. Would you nevertheless allow us to exhort you? We would like many of the misunderstandings about us to be cleared up; we would wish for prudence in interpretations; for that reason we will clarify in our letters some concepts which naturally you have not been able, despite your effort, to assimilate.
Mr DOMÍNGUEZ MONTES: Greetings, honourable friend; we listened attentively to your speculations offered at the symposium directed by Mr Farriols. We ask you not to interpret our respectful consideration of your analyses as servile or courteous flattery. If we except some doctors in Australia and some brothers of yours in Israel and some French researchers who have gone further than you in their study, we assure you that nobody has taken so much interest in making a serious and methodical critique of our reports. We only ask you to be prudent in making your future research public. We would prefer that nobody should vouch for the plausibility of our existence. Thank you in advance, sir.
DIONISIO GARRIDO BUENDÍA: Sir, the next letter will be sent to an authorised body; it is necessary that you be officially registered as a member of it; there are no longer reasons advising your abstention; it is impossible for us to communicate with unauthorised societies or individuals. Convey our greetings to your good friends, sceptical or not, who are interested in us.
